Trail Angels began with just 6 ladies, who met once a week in 2012 and has grown into South Africa’s largest women-only cycling club, based in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs.
The club is an energetic group of like-minded women, who love to ride.
We offer 12 rides a week that cater for those who are new to the sport and need a helping hand to get started, to those who need some encouragement and inspiration to ladies who want to compete in events. Everyone finds their group.
Our members have tried out various products, giving us great insight into what women really want and need from their cycling apparel, sunscreen, chafe cream, accessories and hydration products.
We only sell brands which we have tried and tested and love using ourselves.

I am the founder and owner of Trail Angels and am very involved with all the riding groups on a day to day basis. I have been riding since my days as a Stellenbosch University student, where it was a means of transport. In 2006 I entered the Absa Cape Epic as a rookie rider and my passion for mountain biking began.
I have since gone on to complete four Cape Epics, four Wines2Whales, three Sani2C, the Imana Wild Ride and have cycled 2000km across South Africa with a friend for three weeks through the bush, unsupported.
I have a Human Movement Science degree and have been teaching Pilates for the last 17 years. I have recently qualified as a BICP certified level 1 skills instructor.
I studied Biokinetics and sport has always been a big part of my life. I started mountain biking a few years ago and joined Trail Angels 3 years ago. I’m passionate about helping women grow in confidence on the bike and love creating a supportive and encouraging environment on the trails.
In 2025, I completed my first Wines2Whales and absolutely loved it! It’s an event I would highly recommend to others — amazing trails, incredible spirit, the sense of community within the Trail Angels group and a very well organised event. Definitely one for the books. Experiencing events like this has inspired me even more to help and encourage other women to grow in confidence and enjoy everything mountain biking has to offer
Courteney Webb, who has joined Trail Angels full-time, working across Beyond Bike and Trail Angels marketing.
Courteney is also one of our dedicated ride leaders for our gravel rides, and we are incredibly excited to have her energy, creativity, and passion for women’s cycling in the team.
She brings a strong background in cycling, community engagement, and storytelling — and will play a key role in growing our rides, experiences, and community connection.
I’m a Personal Trainer & Gym owner by profession for the last 30 years, focusing on fitness, strength & nutrition.
I found mountain biking in 2018 when the bug bit and have been a Trail Angels member ever since.
I’ve completed 2 x W2W, Tanka Trek, 3x Attakwas, Sani2C, 2x 100 millers, Dr Evil and quite a few other 1-2 day MTB stage races too. Plus 13 CTCT tours and the Cape Epic in 2026.
I love helping and encouraging people to achieve their goals and get out of their comfort zones.
I have successfully completed my instructor and guiding level 1 from PMBIA in February 2025.
I started mountain biking in 2018 and instantly fell in love with the sport. I am passionate about the health benefits of mountain biking and its positive impact on mental wellbeing. Starting out as a nervous and anxious rider, I invested in improving my skills, and it has improved my confidence in every aspect of my life.
I am passionate about empowering girls and women to be brave and overcome their fears. I now love technical riding, and I have competed in several XCO races and completed a few multi-stage races, including Dr. Evil, Wines2Whales, Tankwa Trek, Gravel Burn and Cape Epic.
My goal is to help girls and women overcome their fears, be brave and confident.
As an accredited PMBIA MTB coach, my aim is to help others achieve their own goals and become the best riders they can be.
I have had a diverse career spanning education, international business leadership, and entrepreneurship.
After a 30-year international corporate executive career, I established a Supply Chain and Business Excellence consultancy, helping organizations improve performance and operational efficiency. This gave me time to join the amazing Trail Angels club.
As a passionate mountain biker and having a Physical Education qualification, I became a certified PMBIA Level 1 and GSMBC Mountain Bike Coach in 2025, combining a lifelong commitment to teaching, leadership, and personal development with a focus on rider skills, confidence, and safety.
I love being a Trail Angel coach.
I have practised as a physiotherapist for over 30 years and previously ran a Pilates studio for 10 years. In 2014 I started mountain biking and joined the Trail Angels and discovered I enjoy riding through and over rocks.
Since then I have ridden three Wine to Whales, two XCO races, one CTCT, one Attakwas and one Absa Cape Epic. I have been a certified BICP mountain bike skills coach since 2022.
One of my core values is empowering women to feel more confident on and off the bike. I use my physiotherapy knowledge and passion for movement analysis and neuroscience when teaching bike skill clinics.
I strive to create an environment where women can experience ‘safety in me’ instead of ‘danger in me’ thoughts. This is when the magic happens – FUN replaces fear and upskilling happens.
I cycled to school as a child but never really enjoyed it. Years later, I bought my first mountain bike in 2014 and quickly discovered that living with fibromyalgia made cycling more challenging than enjoyable.
Everything changed in 2022 when I tried an e-bike. The ability to access support when needed and push myself when I could transformed my experience. Cycling became a source of freedom, adventure, and wellbeing, improving both my physical and mental health while reconnecting me with nature.
As an accredited PMBIA Level 1 and GSMBC MTB Coach, I combine my engineering background with my life coaching certification to help others build confidence, develop skills, and achieve their cycling goals.
Whether you’re new to cycling or overcoming personal challenges, I believe every ride has the potential to improve your quality of life—just as it has mine.
